On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for a Project Manager to join their Consumer eHealth division to help implement the MyHealth Patient Portal. This is a citizen-facing portal (digital front door) where they can access their lab results, medication history, schedule/cancel appointments, etc.
Responsibilities:
• Compile project charters and business/project plans to support activities, including the most suitable approach to be used in the development of each applicable project, to ensure business objectives and data integrity are achieved.
• Manage project(s) that will document business requirements, design and deliver IT solutions that are compliant with and contribute to the Ministries’ enterprise architecture and overall objectives.
• Assist with the development of recommendations including providing details of resource requirements, dependencies, interdependencies, policy implications pertaining to internal/external influences and the methodology to be applied.
• Produce and package deliverables for presentation to various internal support teams, steering committee, and other project stakeholders including external audiences.
• Develop strong partnerships, through consultations and engagement sessions to gather input from a diverse group of internal and/or external stakeholders on key issues and business requirements to support projects.
• Manage multiple projects, project resources and project governance.
• Work with project sponsors to ensure that effective project communication exists through the duration of the project including escalation of risks as required.
• Manage relationships and overcome hurdles to ensure win-win solutions.
• Collaborate with business and IT leadership to develop a well-defined project plans that clearly states the project’s objectives, scope, assumptions, timeline, resource requirements, risks, benefits and budget.
• Work with project sponsors and the project management office to develop a project organization structure with clearly defined roles and responsibilities for all stakeholders.
• Document and report project status against established objectives, milestones, budget and resources and facilitate tracking and closure of issues and risks.
• Develop project schedule plans and strategies, estimate resource requirements, develop and monitor work plans and take corrective action for completion of project tasks.
• Provide guidance to project resources in establishing work priorities and prompt delivery of project tasks.
• Develop, as required, related requirements documentation.
• In collaboration with project sponsors, assess whether the project achieved stated outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement for future similar projects.
• Responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery of components for identified projects and operational considerations for new system development including external stakeholder engagement, change management activities and communication support.
Qualifications:
Mandatory:
• Bachelor degree, diploma or certificate in IT, Computer Science or related field of study.
• 5 years’ experience developing project deliverables including project charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs and project closures.
• 5 years’ experience successfully implementing IT solutions in an environment with project resources from across multiple teams or organizations.
Scored:
• Currently active PMP or PGMP Certification as issued by the Project Management Institute or equivalent (attach a copy of the certificate)
• 3+ years demonstrated experience in the development, implementation or support of solutions aimed at citizen engagement or citizen access to their personal health information.
• 3+ years demonstrated experience working in the health industry and knowledge of business practices, information, data and technology requirements.
• 3+ years experience developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships across the organization, including executive level.
• 3+ years experience developing change management deliverables including Change Strategy and Plans, Training Strategy and Plans, Stakeholder Impact Assessments, Communication Strategy and Plans.
