On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Database Administrator to support database capacity planning, installation, configuration, design, migration, performance monitoring, security, and troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery. Manitoba aims to streamline resource selection, onboarding, and management with a focus on ensuring qualifications, outcome alignment, and reasonable cost.
Responsibilities:
• Database performance monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting
• Patch administration per vulnerability standards
• Database installation, configuration, design, and capacity planning
• Backup and recovery, data migration support
• Documentation and compliance with architectural standards
• Use of T-SQL, triggers, views, and stored procedures.
Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in computer science or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of enterprise-level DBA experience
• Experience with MS SQL Server and SAP Sybase ASE
• Knowledge of Windows/Linux, RDBMS performance tuning
• Experience with capacity and availability management
• Strong communication, collaboration, and customer service skills
