Our client requires a consultant to provide services in the role of Scrum Master. The Scrum Master will play a critical role in facilitating Agile processes within AIMCo’s technology and business teams. This role ensures Agile principles are followed, supports cross-functional collaboration, and removes impediments to maximize team efficiency. The Scrum Master will work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and development teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, etc.) and ensure effective participation.
  • Coach teams on Agile best practices, fostering a culture of self-organization and accountability.
  • Identify and remove impediments to the team’s progress.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a well-groomed product backlog.
  • Promote transparency and visibility by tracking and communicating team progress.
  • Act as a servant leader, guiding the team to deliver high-value increments while adhering to Agile principles.
  • Facilitate cross-team coordination and dependency management.
  • Drive continuous improvement through retrospective analysis and process enhancements.
  • Support Agile transformation efforts across AIMCo, advocating for Agile adoption at various levels of the organization.

 

Requirements:

Must Have:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in an Agile setup.
  • Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Nice to Have

  • Experience in financial services or investment management is an asset.
  • Experience leading development teams working with technologies like Azure Databricks, dbt, and Microsoft Power BI.
