Our client requires a consultant to provide services in the role of Data Management Analyst. As a Data Management Analyst, you will work directly with AIMCo’s investment teams and business units to support data quality solutions and contribute to the organization’s data governance efforts. The primary focus will be to simplify complex data issues and provide actionable solutions to senior leaders.

This dual-focus allows the analyst to align their work with AIMCo's most vital data initiatives, delivering top-tier solutions for our data users.   • The ideal candidate for these positions is a team player who excels at collaboration. They should have the ability to simplify complex data issues, communicating them effectively to senior leaders, along with potential solutions.
  • Own relationships with senior data owners and become an expert in the processes and data domains.
  • Work with investment teams and other business units’ data owners to identify their current and future data requirements.
  • Liaison for data owners to coordinate with the data management team and provide data quality solutions including root cause analysis, data quality measurement, and data quality improvement.
  • Analyze and document business processes and metadata for supporting applications and data sets.
  • Actively populate and improve the enterprise data catalog to provide the highest quality metadata to the data users.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand data quality needs and suggest and implement data quality rules.
  • Ensure that the implications, issues, and risks relating to data are identified and assist with the effective communication of this information and resolution.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex investment data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data management processes, data quality, and data governance practices. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in investment data management and governance.

 

Requirements:

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field (Advanced degrees preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience in data management, governance frameworks, and data quality initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of investment data types, instruments, and industry concepts.
  • Proficient interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working independently and in an Agile setup.


Nice to Have

  • Experience with an Enterprise Data Catalog (e.g., Atlan, Collibra).
  • Experience with an Enterprise Data Quality platform (e.g., Soda, Monte Carlo).
  • Experience with Databricks, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Blackrock Aladdin platform and/or SimCorp Dimension.
  • Relevant certifications such as CFA, CAIA, FRM, or CDMP.
