Apply for Data Analyst

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Data Analyst to play a key role in the SAP Modernization Program through experience and knowledge of data analysis in support of the spend analysis process.

Responsibilities:

• Review current ECC data extract scripts and data to identify and understand the current transactions included in the process from each of the three sectors.

• Review and analyze the S4 build to identify and understand the transactions required to be

included/excluded from the data transfer to Ariba Spend.

• Identify changes required for the data transfer process from S4 to Ariba Spend, coordinating review of these changes with Procurement Services and third-party implementers to ensure a refined and inclusive data flow between systems.

• Advise of opportunities for further refinements of the data flow and classifications to support required spend analysis.

• Update S4 extract criteria through CIG.

• Review the current Ariba Spend classification process and classification rules to identify the rule changes needed based on master data changes in S4 Hana.

• Update/create spend classification rules based on S4 Hana master data changes with new mappings for such things as, including but not limited to, document types, part number, material type, cost center, Business Partners, and GL changes.

• Ensure records are mapped to the Ariba Custom Taxonomy and the custom taxonomies of Procurement Services with a high degree of accuracy and completion.

• Advise on new opportunities for classifications based on available opportunities in the new S4 single instance build.

• Documentation of decisions, processes, SOPs, and procedures relating to the data transfer process, refinement of the data pipeline (included/excluded records), classification rules, and mapping to the Ariba Spend taxonomies.

• Update reporting, classifications, and any other tools required for continued spending analysis within the Province's scope for spending analysis.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in SAP project delivery and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience as a data analyst

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis and report development, with SAP, analytics tools, etc.

• 5+ years analyzing complex data sets and supporting conclusions accurately for solution upgrades, and/or migrations

• Experience working with Finance and Procurement data

• Experience working in an agile IT project environment with tight deadlines

• Knowledge of integration points in the SAP ecosystem

• Ability to analyze large data sets and identify anomalies

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of and experience working with Ariba Spend Analysis

• Knowledge of process management in Solution Manager
