On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Research Business Analyst to be responsible for the requirements and deliverables of the projects assigned as well as ensuring adherence to the organization's Policies, the ITIO Methodology, and specific Solution Delivery processes and standards.


Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the project team and key stakeholders to elicit the information required to produce BA and Training deliverables as needed.

o Business Requirement Documents

o Process modeling

o Gap Assessment

o Risk Assessment

o Test Plan / Test Case

o Training Plan

• Ensure adherence to the ITIO Methodology, use of our BA standard templates, and the specific Solution Delivery processes and standards.

• Liaise with the ITIO group for additional guidance on ITIO BA standards.

• Ensure all project documentation and deliverables are stored in the official SharePoint project repository.

• Ensure that project decisions are formally documented as per ITIO Methodology.

• Provide reporting and status updates to the ITIO team as required.

• Ensure compliance with the organization's standards, policies, and procedures.


Qualifications:

Functional skills:

• Support the transition from the existing solution to the new design 

• Confirm and elaborate system requirements from the Research Portfolio 

• Ability to work with a large cross-section of users

• Demonstrated experience in fit-gap analysis and developing functional specifications to transition from the current RMS (Research Management System) to a target implementation supported by PeopleSoft  

• Develop functional specifications for system enhancements and integrations. 

• Oversee data conversion and mapping from third-party systems (PeopleSoft – Nice to Have)

• Ensure the library of project documentation are maintained and communicated to the consultants, developers and the entire team 

• Experience with PeopleSoft product integration (Nice to Have)

• Some Operational Change Management experience preferred

• Experience or understanding of post-secondary student feedback surveys preferred

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years’ experience as a Business Analyst.

• Strong background in data conversion and mapping from third-party systems.

• Previous experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2, especially Grants, Contracts, and Project costing (Nice to Have)

• Proficiency in PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM 49) and PeopleTools (PT 8.60) - (Nice to Have)

• Experience in developing and delivering detailed requirements.

• Experience working on enterprise-level programs and familiarity with BA methodologies and tools.

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of stakeholders.

• Strategic, critical, and analytical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving.

• Influence and engage all levels of stakeholders and support change.

• Must be: 

o flexible and able to work in a dynamic environment and changing situations

o a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others

o able to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
