On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for a Project Manager to act as the primary point of contact for this project with the vendor, IMITS Tech Services, Informatics resources, and relevant clinical and business stakeholders. To lead the upgrade in all aspects from initiation to the transition to sustainment.


Accountabilities:

• Ownership of assigned projects and initiatives, bringing them to a successful closure.

• Provide periodic status reports on activities and tasks, risk, interdependence, and issues for presentation to senior executives, major stakeholders, and the PQTO.

• Prepare and present decision-making material for the organization and governance.

• Planning, designing, and delivering project timelines, a project plan, and a change management plan.

• Collaborate closely with technical, facility operations, and architecture teams.

• Delivery of quality documentation allowing for smooth execution of work, ensuring close observance of

• Technology Alignment and PQTO policies and processes.


Specific Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of a project charter.

• Write project status updates and maintain issue logs.

• Coordinate the development and execution of test plans

• Oversee the replacement of legacy hardware; data migration; system configuration and end-user training activities as appropriate.

• Prepare materials and facilitate discussions and decisions at Governance Committee meetings.

• Liaise with vendors and manage vendor resources, where required, to support the execution of the project deliverables.

• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, working with them to anticipate and mitigate issues and delays.

• Facilitates client engagement, supporting appropriate planning and communications.

• Supporting project sponsors to demonstrate the cause and evidenced rationale behind any increases in costs during project delivery.

• Ensure project resources and timelines are aligned with adjacent, in-flight projects (New redevelopment, PACS upgrade, CADstream Breast MRI implementation, etc.)


Other Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements

• Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of the project

• Manages the budget and change requests required and follows a robust change control process

• Review deliverables prepared by the team before passing them to the client

• Measures all deliverables against vendor-recommended design and best/normal practices

• Reports any deviations

• Effectively applies client methodology and enforces project standards

• Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures

• Minimizes exposure and risk on project

• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately

• Tracks and reports team hours and expenses

• Facilitates team and client meetings effectively

• Holds regular status meetings with the project team

• Facilitates monthly steering committee meetings

• Keeps project team well-informed of changes

• Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors

• Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations

• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion

• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully

• Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential

• Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner

• Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members

• Mitigates team conflict and communication problems

• Manages day-to-day client interaction


Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years working as a Senior Project Manager within an enterprise delivery organization. 

• Minimum 4 years specifically leading Medical Imaging/PACS, Post-processing system-focused upgrade projects.

• Experience working in highly structured PMO environments desired.

• Experience working in Health Authority clinical and technical environments desired.

• Demonstrated capability to work with Senior Management Team and Executives.

• Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.

• Excellent written and verbal skills.

• Detail oriented


Experience required:

• Healthcare and Medical imaging experience preferred.

• Proven experience in project management of large, acute site radiology-related upgrade projects.

• Candidates will be required to develop a project plan and project status updates. Successful candidates must have strong business writing skills.

• Demonstrated capability in handling sensitive and challenging situations.

• Excellent communication with Technical Leaders.

• Must be a relationship and team builder and have the confidence to challenge expert input credibly and constructively.

• Experience with Clinical Information Systems is an asset.

• Experience facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups.

• Excellent proficiency with MS Office toolsets (Word, Excel, Visio, Project).

• Proven analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


Pay Rate: $95-110/hour
