On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a highly motivated Change Management & Communications Specialist to lead the development and implementation of change management strategies and communication efforts for an organizational Identity & Access Management (IAM) transformation.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Change Management Strategies:
    • Create and document structured approaches to ensure changes are implemented effectively, yielding long-term benefits.
    • Address the impacts of changes on individuals and internal/external stakeholder groups.
    • Ensure change adoption through comprehensive training and engagement initiatives.
  • Design and Execute Communication Plans:
    • Develop a dynamic, living Communication Plan that adapts as audience needs evolve.
    • Identify appropriate communication channels, messages, and feedback mechanisms.
    • Coordinate communication strategies to deliver key information at the right time to the right audience.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Analysis:
    • Conduct Stakeholder Analysis to assess the impact of change on various groups.
    • Develop a Stakeholder Engagement Plan to encourage active participation and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
  • Training Strategy Development and Delivery:
    • Create and execute a Training/Workshop Strategy for a diverse range of professionals.
    • Develop action plans for training and conduct sessions both virtually and in person, in English and French.
    • Design and deliver training materials in collaboration with technical and project teams.
  • Collaboration & Problem Solving:
    • Align change management and communication strategies with technical solution partners and project teams.
    • Monitor and assess feedback from stakeholders to address challenges and ensure smooth adoption of changes.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Track and report the effectiveness of communication efforts and change activities.
    • Maintain a culture of feedback and continuous improvement throughout the project.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of related experience, OR
    • Two-year college diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field with five years of relevant experience.
    • Proficiency in both English and French (written and oral) is required.
  • Required Experience:
    • Proven experience leading change management initiatives for IT and business process transformations (at least 1 project).
    • Minimum 5 years of experience developing and maintaining feedback mechanisms with employees during transformational changes.
    • Demonstrated ability to engage senior management through presentations and interactive communications (5 years).
    • Experience delivering solution awareness and training programs through both virtual and in-person formats (3 years).
    • Experience working within government environments and bilingual projects (3 years).
  • Skills & Certifications:
    • Certification in Change Management (required).
    • Strong expertise with Microsoft Office and experience working with digital collaboration and communication tools.
