On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Change Management Governance Lead for their upgrade of their existing Microsoft Windows 10 desktop operating system to Windows 11.

Services Required:

The OCM & Governance Lead – Microsoft Modern Desktop Windows 11, will leverage their experience, capabilities and knowledge to support all project activities to successfully realize project goals with focus on people and organizational elements of the transformation leading to adoption of the final solution. The role will work collaboratively and in partnership with the Microsoft Modern Desktop Windows 11 project team, the DMST Leaders, Desktop Application & Technologies, & Technology Refresh (TRP), Planning & Delivery (including Business and Clinical Readiness, change and communications, project controls & governance) Leads/teams, as well as other key stakeholders (PDHIS, business/clinical representatives, site sponsors, NTT Data, Health Authority (HA) organizations – VCH, PHC and PHSA, etc.) in respect to activities listed below.

 

Core activities:

  • Support the Project Manager and DMST Leadership in defining and drafting project delivery approach and strategy
  • Work within the existing MMD and DMST Governance model to enable Business/Clinical endorsements and ensure buy-in from key stakeholders
  • Develop and execute the MMD Communications and Change management plans to support end user awareness and solution adoption
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis and develop an engagement strategy, plan and schedule to support project activities
  • Liaise with operational DMST Change Lead to develop and execute effective communications and change management plans (including engagement with Business/Clinical Working Group (BCWG) and site sponsors as required)
  • Provide thought leadership to support planning, development and implementation ensuring appropriate context and advice are incorporated into framework development, readiness activities and transition to sustainment.
  • Work with DMST Leadership and all relevant stakeholder teams to identify, document, manage, and resolve issues and risks identified including mitigating change impacts
  • Provide support and insight/recommendations re: the design, development & implementation of a Windows 11 deployment strategy
  • Support the Project with many aspects of project delivery including planning, risk management, deliverables, communication, reporting and stakeholder engagement
  • Draft reports, briefing notes, and other supportive documentation for business leaders and project governance (i.e. readiness and/or sustainment)
  • Liaise/collaborate with DMST Leadership, DMST Desktop Technologies / Application Teams, other application IT Partner Groups and PDHIS teams to conduct research and testing, documenting findings
  • Perform other role related duties and project activities as directed

 

Other activities:

·        Contribute to business/clinical engagement, DMST governance, Project Delivery Steering Committee (PDSC) and status meetings

·        Provide/contribute project status updates, address actions and support/contribute to issues/risk management activities and escalations/resolution.

·        Support delivery/completion of core activities (e.g. strategy, planning, schedule, reporting and risk/issues) to ensure DMST and the project’s ability meet required timelines and deliverables

·        Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes

·        Work in collaboration with DMST sustainment team to integrate and align planning, solutioning and readiness activities

·        Other OCM duties as required.

 

Core deliverables:

·        An Organizational Change Management framework and approach (including all supportive materials)

·        Change Impact Assessment(s)

·        Communications and Change Management plans

·        Windows 11 sustainment Governance Model

·        Stakeholder analysis and engagement plan

·        Communication and Engagement toolkits

·        Surveys, focus groups and other user engagement techniques

·        User experience assessments and analysis in support of Windows 11 solution design

·        Training Materials to support user adoption of Windows 11

·        Supporting documentation, presentation decks, briefing notes, diagrams, workflows (i.e. swim lanes, etc.), processes, procedures, etc. to support project; as well as handover/transition to steady-state operations (e.g., DMST, IMITS, etc.) and to support future state requirements

·        Presentation decks to support Governance engagement specific to MMD scope of work

·        Insights into deployment approach and scheduling focusing on “how” the solutions can be rolled out across the HA’s focusing on mitigating the negative impact and considering change fatigue

  • Materials needed to support Business Case and Briefing Notes creation
  • Agendas, minutes, presentation decks, etc. to support key deliverables, stakeholder engagement, governance, senior leadership, etc.
  • Other deliverables as defined by DMST Leadership and/or Project Team Sr. Project Manager



Specific Qualifications or Experience Required: 

Must have:

·        10+ years of experience in delivering end-to-end Organizational Change Management engagements in healthcare

·        Previous experience working on Microsoft technology projects in healthcare setting with a focus on achieving excellent user experience

·        Experience defining, assessing and managing user experience during high impact technology deployments

·        Experience working across the organizational structure and influencing stakeholders along the way

·        Ability to learn quickly, comprehend complexities and build simplifying models

·        Ability to effectively navigate and deliver results in a large, complex IT environment

·        A level of understanding of Microsoft offering (operating systems, Office suite of applications), principles of Software as a Service

·        Prior experience collaborating/working with various stakeholders: IT professionals, Business and Clinical Senior Management teams, Executives; and vendor partners

·        Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and topics to non-subject matter experts

·        Excellent PowerPoint skills and the ability to visually present complex problems. Very good spreadsheets and word processing skills


Good to have:

·        Experience working within the BC Health Authorities

·        Experience implementing Microsoft technologies in a public sector organization
